Sometimes writing a book can seem like a HUGE task! On today’s Missing Piece vlog, I am going to share with you such an easy breakdown formula to help you get past the doubts and fears of what to write in your chapters and teach you how to pick your chapter subjects.
When it comes to deciding what you want to write it can be so overwhelming to consider what to place in the book to help your readers. We tend to get in our own way and not think clearly of what we are going to put down on paper and the fog in our mind can completely block out what we are really good at teaching.
We tend to get stuck in the mode of “writing a book as (place your name here)” rather than writing the book as the teacher and expert that you are on the subject you are writing about. Everything about a book is a goal, a plan and it needs a strategy just like any other goal you are working on. It needs to be broken down into a simple step by step plan that will enable you to master that craft over time.
In this week’s vlog, you will learn a process that I have taught many, many students to execute the chapter listing process in a matter of minutes! Plus, it will be something that you can take with you and apply over and over again each time you wish to write a book.
I have also provided a download sheet to get you started and you can download this at the link under the video in the Youtube description box.
I hope this helps you on your journey to writing a book and helps give a clearer understanding of how something that seems so difficult, can actually be really simple when you have the right advice and tools.
In next week’s Missing Piece vlog I am going to take you through how you can actually pack a punch with every chapter and keep your reader engaged in everything you have written.
There is a skill to be mastered to keep your reader moving fast through each chapter, and I look forward to sharing that with you next week.
If you missed last week’s vlog, which was on the subject of How to Overcome Your Fear of Writing then do watch this first, because it will help eliminate any doubts you may have and nagging voices in your head telling you that you can’t possibly write a book, well, you can! I know, I am living proof!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
